LIFE!

"Life is a series of experiences, each of which makes us bigger, even though it is hard to realize this. For the world was built to develop character, and we must learn that the setbacks and griefs which we endure help us in our marching onward."                   ~Henry Ford

"Obstacles cannot crush me. Every obstacle yields to stern resolve. He who is fixed to a star does not change his mind."                ~Leonardo daVinci

WEATHER REPORT *~By BJ Gallagher~*

"Any day I'm vertical
is a good day"
...that's what I always say.
If you ask me,
"How are you?"
I'll answer, "GREAT!"
because in saying so,
I make it so.
When Life gives me dark clouds and rain,
I appreciate the moisture
that brings a soft curl to my hair.
When Life gives me sunshine,
I gratefully turn my face up
to feel its warmth on my cheeks.
When Life brings fog,
I hug my sweater around me
and give thanks for the cool shroud of mystery
that makes the familiar seem different and intriguing.
When Life brings snow,
I dash outside to catch the first flakes on my tongue,
relishing the icy miracle that is a snowflake.
Life's events and experiences
are like the weather -
they come and go,
no matter what my preference.
So, what the heck?!
I might as well decide to enjoy them.
For indeed,
there IS a time for every purpose
under Heaven.
And each season brings its own unique blessings.

From: GOD-To-You

To: YOU
Date: TODAY
From: GOD
Subject:YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE

This is God.Today I will be handling All of your problems for you.
I Do Not need your help.
So, have a nice day.

I love you.

P.S.

And, remember...

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle,
Do Not attempt to resolve it yourself !!
Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box.
*I will get to it in MY TIME.*
All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours*.

Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying
about it.
Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don't despair.
There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work;
Think of the man who has been out of work for years.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad;
Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend;
Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children..

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance;
Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror;
Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about,
asking what is my purpose?
Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance,
smallness or insecurities;
Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

Should you decide to refer this to a friend;
Thank you, you may have touched their life in ways you will never know!

Now, you have a nice day,

God

More wise sayings

'Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet
is fighting some kind of battle.'

A sharp tongue can cut your own throat.

If you want your dreams to come true, you mustn't oversleep.

Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important.

The best vitamin for making friends..... B1.

The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.

The heaviest thing you can carry is a grudge..

One thing you can give and still keep...is your word.

You lie the loudest when you lie to yourself.

If you lack the courage to start, you have already finished.

One thing you can't recycle is wasted time.

Ideas won't work unless 'you' do.

Your mind is like a parachute...it functions only when open.

The 10 commandments are not a multiple choice.

The pursuit of happiness is the chase of a lifetime!

It is never too late to become what you might have been.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the one's who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it
would be worth it.

Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you might not get them
back.
Sometimes we get so busy with our own lives and problems that we may
not even notice that we've let them fly away.
Sometimes we are so caught up in who's right and who's wrong that we forget what's right and wrong.
Sometimes we just don't realize what real friendship means until it is too
late.
I don't want to let that happen so I'm gonna tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

HONOUR THY MOTHER

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to
dinner and a movie.
She said, 'I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would Love
to spend some time with you.'

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my Mother, who has been
a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had
made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a
movie. 'What's wrong, are you well,' she asked? My mother is the type of woman who
suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news.

'I thought that it would be pleasant to spend some time with you,' I responded 'just the two of us.' She thought about it for a moment, and then said, 'I would like that very much.'

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous.
When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous
about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on.
She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary.
She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's.
'I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were
impressed,' she said, as she got into the car. 'They can't wait to hear
about our meeting.'

We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy.
My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady.

After we sat down, I had to read the menu.
Her eyes could only read large print. Half-way through the entrees, I
lifted my eyes and saw Mother sitting there staring at me.
A nostalgic smile was on her lips.

'It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small,' she said.
'Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favor,' I responded.
During the dinner , we had an agreeable conversation nothing extraordinary
but catching up on recent events of each other's life. We talked so much that
we missed the movie. As we arrived at her house later, she said, 'I'll go out
with you again, but only if you let me invite you.' I agreed.

'How was your dinner date?' asked my wife when I got home. 'Very nice, much
more so than I could have imagined,' I answered.

A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so
suddenly that I didn't have a chance to do anything for her.
Sometime later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place Mother and I had dined. An attached note said: 'I paid this bill in
advance.
I wasn't sure that I could be there; but, nevertheless, I paid for two plates one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what thatnight meant for me.

'I love you, son'

At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: 'I love YOU'
and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve.
Nothing in life is more important than your family.
Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till some 'other' time.

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've
had a baby... somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother, 'normal' is
history.

Somebody said you can't love the second child as much as you love the
first... somebody doesn't have two or more children.

Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labor and
delivery....somebody never watched her 'baby' get on the bus for the first
day of kindergarten... or on a plane headed for military 'boot camp.'

Somebody said a Mother can stop worrying after her child gets married...
somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a
mother's heartstrings.

Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home...
somebody never had grandchildren.

Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell
her...somebody isn't a mother.

This isn't just about being a mother; it's about appreciating the people in
your lives while you have them... no matter who that person is!

Watch out

Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes...
your destiny.

'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of
battle'.

Sayings for 2009

1. Make up your mind to be happy. Learn to find pleasure in simple things.

2. Make the best of your circumstances. No one has everything, and everyone has something of sorrow intermingled with gladness of life.
The trick is to make the laughter outweigh the tears.

3. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Don’t think that somehow you should be protected from misfortune that befalls other people.

4.You can’t please everybody. Don’t let criticism worry you.

5.Don’t let your neighbour set your standards. Be yourself.

6.Do the things you enjoy doing but stay out of debt.

7.Never borrow trouble. Imaginary things are harder to bear than real ones.

8.Since hate poisons the soul, do not cherish jealousy. Avoid people that make you unhappy.

9.Have many interests. If you can’t travel, read about new places.

10.Don’t hold postmortems. Don’t spend your time brooding over sorrows or mistakes. Don’t be one who never gets over things.

11.Do what you can for those less fortunate than yourself.

12.Keep busy at something. A busy person never has time to be unhappy.

HAPPY NEW YEAR-I wish you enough!!

'That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations.
'When we said , 'I wish you enough ', we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them'.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger .
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.

TAKE TIME TO LIVE.....

To all my friends and loved ones ,
I WISH YOU ENOUGH

Happy New Year

I wish you enough!
It is said that it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them but then an entire life to forget them.
